{"id":5972,"date":"2019-11-03T19:52:40","date_gmt":"2019-11-03T19:52:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/culinaryspain0.vl28466.dinaserver.com\/?p=5972"},"modified":"2019-11-03T19:52:40","modified_gmt":"2019-11-03T19:52:40","slug":"halloween-meringue-ghosts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.culinaryspain.com\/en\/halloween-meringue-ghosts\/","title":{"rendered":"Halloween meringue ghosts"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Halloween meringue ghosts<\/h1>\n<p>Witches and ghosts are coming<strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>and this afternoon we have a snack so I've prepared some <strong>Halloween meringue ghosts<\/strong> they are cute and they are terrifying!<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 gr egg whites<a href=\"https:\/\/www.culinaryspain.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_4064.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5977\" src=\"https:\/\/www.culinaryspain.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_4064-806x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Halloween meringue ghosts that are\" width=\"401\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.culinaryspain.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_4064-806x1024.jpg 806w, https:\/\/www.culinaryspain.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_4064-236x300.jpg 236w, https:\/\/www.culinaryspain.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_4064-768x975.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.culinaryspain.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_4064.jpg 1470w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 401px) 100vw, 401px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>200 gr white sugar<\/li>\n<li>A few drops of lemon<\/li>\n<li>Dark chocolate fondant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>STEP BY STEP RECIPE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I have made a Swiss meringue that consists of putting the egg whites with the sugar in a bowl and cooking it in a bain-marie. In case you don't know, it consists of putting the bowl over another container with water, but without the bowl on top touching the water, and bringing the water to a boil, so that the hot steam will cook evenly what is on top. We will continuously stir the egg whites with the sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved and the texture is whitish and creamy. Remove from the heat.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Next, add a few drops of lemon or a teaspoon of vinegar (this will help to make them whiter) and with a whisk or a food processor if you have one, whip the egg whites until the meringue does not fall when you turn the bowl upside down. Or until when you lift the whisk, the meringue half falls in the shape of a beak, a little stiff, or what is called pico de gallo.<\/li>\n<li>With the help of a piping bag and a 1 cm wide round nozzle, make the shape of the ghosts.
