Ham tasting and pairing with wines

Ham is one of our culinary jewels and is a symbol of Spanish culture and gastronomy. Although it is a true artisan delicacy, little do we know about its peculiarities and we are not able to appreciate and verify the quality of any type of Serrano ham.
Through tasting we will learn to check the quality of the ham and to pair it with wine. We will learn to notice its color or its shiny appearance, which is produced by the surface fat when sliced, and we will even be able to discover its age by its marbling.
We will learn to use the senses of sight, touch, smell and taste in an appropriate way, since the tasting will help us to discover the intense and pleasant aromas, the importance of rancidity in its right measure and how we can discover sweet flavors, together with salty and even bitter ones that will indicate how the winter was in its curing period.
We can opt for three types of HAM TASTING:
1. Tasting of different hamsThe tasting will include a variety of Iberian hams and acorn-fed Iberian hams with denomination of origin. With this tasting you will be able to check the different qualities and textures of ham and its different flavors according to their origin, breeding and feeding.
2. Art of ham slicing, Tasting and tasting: You will discover how a ham is cut while tasting and tasting.
3. Tasting of ham and sausages of the Iberian pig: There will be a tasting of the different products obtained from the Iberian pig.
