Olive oil tasting

The virgin olive oils have become one of the world's great gourmet products, “liquid gold”, thanks to their exceptional gastronomic qualities as well as their beneficial health effects.
Oil tasting will help us discover an ancient culture through the fascinating world of Spanish virgin olive oil, where Spain is the world leader in production and exporter of this extraordinary product.
However, virgin olive oils are still not well known among Spanish consumers, as evidenced by their low consumption in relation to the other types of olive oil on the market.
This tasting will help you to know, taste and use our virgin olive oils to discover a whole new world of aromas and flavors that will surprise you. The course will introduce us in a first part and in a theoretical way in the virgin olive oils in Spain: Classification, elaboration, varieties of olives and main denominations of origin. .
An organoleptic tasting, where the official tasting system, attributes and tasting vocabulary will be used, tasting Spanish single-varietal oils.
