1 DAY- CÁCERES AND ZAFRA
- Departure by private bus to Cáceres.
- More than a dozen towers preside over the old town of Cáceres, bounded by Moorish walls. Cobblestone streets lined with medieval fortress houses and Renaissance palaces make up the most beautiful pictures of this city declared a World Heritage Site. Historical characters will surprise us and reveal their secrets, legends and great history...
- Lunch at one of the best restaurants in town.
- Next, we will travel to Zafra, an hour's drive away, to visit an impressive family winery , Its founder, the great-grandfather José Montaño, always demonstrated a special ability for the elaboration of wines in an artisan way. The whole process will be explained to us, we will visit the facilities and its large barrel room and we will enjoy a commented tasting of 2 of its great wines.
- Check in at hotel with history, and free time to stroll and get lost among the narrow cobblestone streets, highlighting the Palace of the Dukes of Feria, the Plaza Grande and Plaza Chica or the Church of Candelaria.
- We will dine at a renowned restaurant where we will enjoy tradition + innovation.
2 DAY- IBERIAN SAFARI and MÉRIDA
- Buffet breakfast
- During the morning, with the help of the great professional ham cutter, Pepe, we will immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of Iberian ham. How do you know if a ham is Iberian pata negra? We will visit a dryer where, not only will we taste their great ham, but they will show us the whole process and explain the difference between the DO of Extremadura, with the rest (Jabugo, Guijuelo...), ...
- Then we will go to the spectacular natural park of Cornalvo ( 1h aprox) For visit to black merina deer and sheep farm. An unforgettable experience in the hands of their owners, ending with lunch in a typical Andalusian farmhouse or restaurant in Merida of the same owner (depending on availability).
- Afternoon: Let yourself be enchanted by the majesty of the Roman Theater and Amphitheater of Merida on a guided tour accompanied by an expert guide. You will start a walking tour that will take you to know the monumental complex of Merida, one of the main archaeological sites in Spain, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993.
- Check in at a charming hotel. Dinner.
3 DAY-TRUJILLO AND RETURN
- Breakfast buffet
- Departure to Trujillo and guided tour ”medieval scenery and route of the discoverers”. A very complete tour that starts from the Plaza Mayor and continues within the medieval town walls, where you will know the most important corners and monuments of a city steeped in history.
- Typical food in a local restaurant
- Return to the starting point.
