The perfect base for exploring the flavors of Andalusia is the lively city and architectural jewel of Seville. According to legend, Seville was founded by Hercules and its origins are related to the Tartessian civilization. We will visit the minaret of La Giralda, la cathedral (one of the largest in Christendom) and the Mudejar Alcazar Palace with wonderful gardens and enjoy a tapas walking tour through the old town of Santa Cruz, with its narrow streets, flowered balconies, richly decorated facades, hidden courtyards ...
In this colorful city we will enjoy the cooking classes taught at its prestigious School of Hospitality, where we will learn the most genuine and delicious recipes of its cuisine.
One day we are going to make an excursion to the land where you can only make the oldest Spanish wine: and where we will visit an incomparable bodega, cathedrals where wine and brandy are born, raised and aged in silence. Jerez will surprise you with its old town center, declared a Historic-Artistic Monumental Site, where churches, palaces and unique buildings are discovered among orange trees and fountains along squares, streets and corners.
The Mosque -Aljama- of Cordoba is the most splendid monument of the Muslim period in the West. For this reason we will visit Cordoba, a city that will also surprise us with its squares, its balconies full of flowers, the “Juderia”, a charming white quarter that remains as a testimony of the Jewish quarter that existed in Roman times. The charming white quarter that remains as a testimony of the Jewish quarter that existed already in Roman times.
The olive oil and the excellent wines of the countryside are the indispensable complement of this succulent gastronomy. The traveler can taste the casseroles of beans, asparagus scrambled eggs, cochifrito, lamb stew, migas serranas and oxtail stew, whose main ingredient comes from the fighting bull.
We wish you a succulent and colorful trip!
