EXPOFOODING
From May 01 to 05 will be held in Madrid (Ifema) the first edition of Expofooding, a space and a moment of encounter that will be dedicated to International Relations and, of course, to the gastronomy. A ́World ConferenceIt is prepared to promote the analysis, study and dissemination of these subjects in an interrelated or convergent manner.
EXPOFOODING World Conference Gastronomy and International Relations» is sponsored by the World Gastronomy Institute and the UNESCO Chair in Food, Culture and Development, and has the support and backing of various transnational organizations, universities and sectoral organizations.
This congress will have two main areas of intervention:
- “Symposium”It is an academic and scientific event, containing seminars, workshops and round tables. It aims to bring together, generate and disseminate knowledge on the two subjects covered: international relations and gastronomy.
Among the program presented by this event, we highlight topics to be addressed such as: the Atlantic Gastronomy, the gastronomic heritage of the XXI century, Gastrotourism or transnational fishing among others.
- “Gourmet Forum”: with a trade fair aimed at locals and visitors, exhibitions and parallel activities. It includes a “Show-rooming Zone”, dedicated to the promotion of the participating countries, their gastronomic culture and gastro-tourism.
An enclosure, in which participants will be able to taste food from the different participating countries. Each stand will represent a country and its gastronomic culture through its most typical elaborations and most autochthonous and unique products. In addition to having other spaces for travel sectors, cruises, communication companies...
Within this Gourmet Forum, scheduled for May 4th, the activity “Bon Appetit Festival” will be programmed.” The tunnel of flavors, where attendees will have access to food and elaborations from the most traditional to the most exotic.
