Baked figs with honey and yogurt sauce
These baked figs with honey and yogurt sauce, is a fantastic idea if we want to eat this seasonal fruit in a different, very healthy and delicious way!
To make them you need:
- 8-12 figs
- 1 yogurt Greek
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 lemon
- Orange zest
- 1 dash of cointreau or old rum
- Mint leaves (optional).
STEP BY STEP RECIPE:
- Wash well the figs and remove the stalk. With the help of a knife, make a cross on the top and make the cut reach the middle of the fig, more or less. Place the figs in a bowl in such a way that they are close together so they do not spread out. Put a few drops of rum or contreau inside the figs, as well as a few drops of lemon. Sprinkle a bit of orange zest and finally, pour the honey above the figs in the form of a thread.
- Cover the dish with baking paper and bake at 180ºc for 20 minutes. When you take it out of the oven, take a couple of spoonfuls of the sauce that the figs have released, and beat it with the yogurt and the teaspoon of sugar. Fill the figs with this cream and serve on a plate with the rest of the sauce that has been released during cooking and decorate with some mint leaves (optional).
Well, have you already thought about where the nearest fig tree is to prepare these baked figs with honey and yogurt sauce?
