CHERRY FESTIVAL IN CASTILLO DE LOCUBÍN (JAÉN)

Therefore, Locubín Castle, a municipality in the province of Jaén pays tribute to one of the most famous products of its orchards: the cherry. For 3 days: June 17,18 and 19, This fruit becomes the protagonist of a celebration in which multiple gastronomic events and activities related to cherries take place.
You will be able to taste and buy cherries and liqueurs. You will learn new ways to prepare different gastronomic dishes with the use of this fruit. You will participate in a contest where the best dish and the best producer of this precious red fruit will be valued and awarded.
This festival has an extensive program of activities that will take place during the 3 days, in which we highlight: Tastings (gazpacho with cherries, joyicos with cherries, cherry liqueur, oreganillo...), workshops, visits and routes through the town and surroundings, popular races, musical and cultural performances, showcooking,.. In addition, for the kids there are several activities such as: Olympics, parades, children's entertainment, workshops ... and many other activities in which fun is guaranteed.
