Flax and hemp seed cookies
I have recently discovered the use and consumption of seeds in my diet and I have dared with these flax and hemp seed cookies.
You are at Linwoods seeds are a marvel. Cold ground, they retain all their nutritional properties and essential fats. You can use them as a complement to add to salads, yogurts, breads, sauces, etc. They are a source of vegetable proteins, minerals, Omega 3, 6 and 9 and other essential vitamins and nutrients.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 tablespoons of hemp seeds

- 4 tablespoons of flax seeds
- 1 handful of chopped walnuts or other nuts
- 1 handful of raisins
- 1 handful of tears or chocolate chips 70%
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 egg
STEP BY STEP RECIPE:
- Preheat the oven to 180ºc.
- In a bowl, add the egg and beat.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and stir with a spatula until well integrated. If the honey is hard or thick, put it in the microwave for 3 seconds beforehand to make it liquid so it will be easier to spread evenly. The chocolate and/or raisins are optional. I personally love chocolate and my daughters don't like raisins in baking. Also, if you like more or have another nut on hand such as cashews, hazelnuts, peanuts or pistachios, you can also put one of them or a mixture of all of them.
- On a baking sheet, place a sheet of baking paper. With the help of a spoon, place small mounds of the mixture, separated from each other and flatten them a little with the spoon, making the shape of mini circular cookies about 4 cm in diameter, although it depends on taste, if you like them smaller or larger.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Take them out and let them cool at room temperature.
