Gold chocolate lacasitos and cream surprise cake

It was my daughter's birthday today and I surprised her with this gold lacasitos, chocolate and cream surprise cake Have you ever tried to hide a little treasure inside a cake? Now I'll explain how!

INGREDIENTS BISCUITS:

  • 3 eggschocolate, chocolate and cream surprise cake
  • 175 gr flour
  • 275 gr sugar
  • 110 gr sunflower oil
  • 175 ml milk
  • 4 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

INGREDIENTS COVERAGE:

  • 3 gelatin sheets
  • 60 gr of water
  • 110 gr sugar
  • 75 gr of fondant chocolate ( min, 50%cacao)
  • 15 gr pure cocoa powder
  • 30 gr of liquid cream 35% MG

OTHER NECESSARY INGREDIENTS:

  • 400 ml whipping cream 35% MG
  • 50 gr of powdered sugar
  • Lacasitos gold or the ones you like the most
  • A wooden stick and glue
  • 30 gr white chocolate
  • Surprise gift to be placed inside the cake

STEP BY STEP RECIPE:

  1. In a bowl, sift the dry ingredients for the cake: flour, cocoa and baking powder. Set aside.chocolate, chocolate and cream surprise cake
  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs very well, add the sugar and beat again until doubled in volume.
  3. Then add the milk, oil and vanilla and beat until everything is well integrated and pour it all over the dry ingredients. Beat gently.
  4. Grease two 15 cm molds with a little butter and pour the dough in two equal parts. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºc, 25 minutes.
  5. To make the chocolate coating, first put the gelatin in a bowl with cold water.
  6. In a saucepan put the water and sugar over high heat, about 5 minutes, until it takes a little consistency and a little color.
  7. I turn off the heat, and add the chocolate in small pieces, and stir with a whisk to dissolve. Then do the same with the cocoa and then the cream and stir well so that everything is well integrated. If we see that it has cooled too much, we can put it on low temperature until everything is well beaten. Remove from the heat.
  8. Finally, drain the gelatin sheets very well with your hands and add them to the mixture and stir again. Pour the topping into another bowl to cool and stir every 3/4 minutes to cool and thicken.
  9. Once the bases are ready, let them cool on a wire rack.chocolate, chocolate and cream surprise cake
  10. Whip the cream. Pour the cream and the powdered sugar in a mixer glass and beat until it thickens. Store in the refrigerator.
  11. To assemble the cake, place a cake base on a flat surface. With the help of a cooking ring, make a circle in the middle of the base and remove it. Fill the hole with: a surprise! lacasitos, candies, chocolates, a gift, a diamond? 🙂 Surprise the guest of honor with whatever you want! Place the other base on top. With the help of a spatula, fill the holes with cream and cover with a thin layer the whole afternoon, edges and surface.
  12. Then, start pouring the coating around the edges so that it drips, and then over the entire surface.
  13. Empty the bag of sprinkles. Take a wooden skewer stick and stick one end, about 2 cm, inside the bag. If you have difficulty in sticking it, wrap that little piece with a bit of napkin, coat it with glue and now it will be easier for it to stick to the bag.
  14. Then melt the white chocolate in the microwave at medium temperature, stir, and with a small spoon put a little bit of the chocolate on each sprinkles and stick it around the stick. It is better to leave the bag with the stick resting on a board and stick them on it. Leave about 3 cm of stick free at the other end, as it will be the part that you will stick into the cake, so that the bag is held upwards. Before doing this, leave it in the refrigerator for a while, so that the white chocolate solidifies again and the lacasitos will be well stuck to the stick.

We already have our gold lacasitos, chocolate and cream surprise cake! You will see the "wow" that they will exclaim when they see it and even more when they discover the gift!)

With all my love,

Mireia Alum
