National Gastronomy Award
The Chef Mario Sandoval has been awarded the National Gastronomy Award at best head chef 2013. Congratulations Mario!
When I was at their restaurant Coque, the experience was splendid, original and delicious. When they welcomed us, they took us to an impressive wine cellar where they offered us an appetizer worthy of ”stars” and a glass of wine, leaving us free to browse the hundreds of references of Spanish and foreign wines of almost all vintages; a paradise for wine lovers........
We were then taken to the heart of their kitchens, and to our surprise, we were greeted by Mario with a big smile. He showed us the facilities and the team working at full speed, with relentless organization and cleanliness. Very proud, he also showed us the large stone oven, inherited from the previous family restaurant.
After this pleasant introduction, we entered the dining room, where silence reigned, a dim light and an elegant decoration with a lot of personality. The chairs were worthy of kings and queens, as was the display of different dishes.
And most importantly, the tasting menu, what can we say more than praise and rave reviews! A pleasure for our senses,,,,The photos we publish are some of the dishes that delighted us.
