Homemade yogurt, oatmeal and white chocolate donuts
Do you fancy some healthy homemade yogurt, oatmeal and white chocolate doughnuts?
If you love donuts, learn how to prepare them at home. You will save yourself from consuming hydrogenated fats, which are not good for your body, and are the ones found in industrial bakery products.
Learn how to make them yourself, they are very simple and very healthy, you will see. The only thing you will need is a special donut-shaped baking pan, which you can easily find (even in the Chinese).
INGREDIENTS: ( 8 minidonuts )
- 1 sheep yogurt 100 ml, or Greek type
- 1 egg
- 75 gr flour of oats
- 50 gr coconut sugar or whole cane sugar (panela)
- 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 50 gr of white chocolate
- 1/2 teaspoon of yeast
For coverage:
- 50 gr of white chocolate
- 1 tablespoon of yogurt
- Optional: beet powder (natural coloring)
STEP BY STEP RECIPE:
- In a bowl, and beating by hand or with a whisk, beat the egg with the sugar until creamy.
- Add the oil and beat well again, then add the yogurt and beat again.
- Melt a little of the chopped chocolate in the microwave at medium power so that it does not burn and add it to the mixture and whisk.
- Finally, add the flour together with the flour and stir until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºc. I almost always use a fan and heat up and down.
- Grease the mold with a few drops of oil and pour the dough only up to the middle of the donut shape as they will then rise to give the donuts their full shape.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool while we make the icing.
- To do this you just have to melt the chocolate in the microwave as I explained before. I always have it for half a minute, take it out, stir with a spoon so that it melts with the heat of the mold itself and put it back in the microwave if necessary until you get a creamy texture.
- I add the yogurt to the chocolate and whisk well so there are no lumps.
- I had some beet powder at home that I used as a natural coloring. Pour in half a teaspoon and stir, or leave the white topping as is.
- Remove the doughnuts from their mold, take a doughnut and bathe it with the cream on one side, by simply putting the doughnut in the bowl and soaking it in the cream.
