Sweet potato and dark chocolate bonbons

Do you have a sweet tooth but want to take care of yourself? These sweet potato and dark chocolate bonbons They are the perfect solution!

With no added sugars, it is the perfect sweet to satiate your moment of temptation and to fill you with minerals and vitamins.

With the sweet potato you are drinking:

Vitamin C and E: both powerful antioxidants, they help to keep your cells young, maintain a healthy nervous system, cardiovascular system and muscles.

Potassium: helps keep your muscles and nervous system healthy.

And with dark chocolate (70% min) you ingest other antioxidants such as flavonoids, which help improve blood circulation and lower blood pressure, which in turn can reduce the risk of heart disease. They also fight free radicals, protecting cells and delaying premature aging.

It also provides magnesium, iron and stimulates the production of serotonin, which will make you happier.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 sweet potato large (about 250 g)
  • 60 gr of chocolate 70% to melt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg
  • 30 g of extra virgin coconut oil
  • Optional: raisins or dried cranberries or dates and if you have a sweet tooth a little honey.
  • Pure cocoa powder, shredded coconut, almond kernels, ground nuts...

  1. Put the sweet potato in a bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Put in the microwave at high power, and cook until soft, depending on the size, but about 8/10 minutes. Take it out and let it warm.
  2. Chop the chocolate, put it in a bowl and melt over medium heat in the microwave for 3 minutes. Remove, stir with a spoon so that it melts with the heat itself, if it has not melted completely, put it back in the microwave for another 2 minutes and repeat the operation until it is melted.
  3. Peel the sweet potato and mash with the blender. Gradually add the melted chocolate and stir with a spatula. At this point and optionally, you can add raisins, dried cranberries or pieces of dates. And if you have a sweet tooth, a spoonful of honey. Let it cool so that you can then make the shape.
  4. Make little balls with your hand and roll them in whatever you like: pure cocoa powder, grated coconut, almond kernels, or make a mix that is very colorful and for all tastes.
  5. Put in a box with a ribbon and you have an ideal gift!
