Meat meatball, Arabian style 

This arabian style meatball with sweet potatoes is the fastest way to make meatballs, because one meatball is enough and we are going to give it a very special touch.

And if you don't like the oriental touch, then make it more Spanish style, with bread crumbs, parsley, garlic and onion. It's that easy!

Beef and sweet potato meatball in Arabic style culinaryspain

INGREDIENTS: ( 3/4 servings)

  • 400 gr of veal minced meat
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1/2 grated apple
  • 1 egg
  • 1 handful of raisins
  • 1 handful of pine nuts
  • 1 teaspoon ras al Hanout
  • Salt and pepper

For the sauce:

  • 1 yogurt,
  • 6 chopped mint leaves
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and stir with a spatula. Then, with the help of your hands knead and shape into a large elongated dumpling and place it in a baking dish.
  3. Peel a sweet potato and make thin slices. Place them in the dish around the meatball, season with salt and pepper and add a drizzle of olive oil.
  4. Roast in the oven at 180ºC for 20 minutes.
  5. For the sauce put all the ingredients in a bowl and stir.
  6. When serving the meat, cut into medallions and serve with the sweet potato and a little sauce on the side, or on top, as you like.
