Express pork tenderloin with honey
This express pork tenderloin with honey is always a success, it's super easy and quick to make.
I always accompany it with something to soak up the sauce, which by the way, being sweet, the kids love: rice, couscous, steamed potatoes ....
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pork tenderloin
- 2 spring onions
- 2 tablespoons of quality honey
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ glass of beef broth
- 1/2 glass of milk
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
- * Optional: an apple
RECIPE ELABORATION STEP BY STEP:
- In a pressure cooker, put a little olive oil and heat it. Season the sirloin with salt and pepper, place it in the pot and over medium high heat we are going to sear it, that is, brown it on all sides. This serves to form a thin crust that will help to prevent all the meat juices from escaping during the cooking process and make it juicier.
- Remove it to a plate and lower the heat to low. Leave the rest of the oil for the sofrito.
- Peel and chop the onions and garlic cloves and add them to the pot with a teaspoon of salt, stir and let them cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring from time to time.
- Add the sirloin to the pot, together with the broth and the milk. Close and turn the heat up to high. When it starts to steam, lower the heat a little. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Let the pot cool down.
- Pass the sauce through the blender. If it is too liquid, leave it over medium heat to reduce it a little until you obtain a creamy sauce, neither too liquid nor too creamy.
* Optional: it is also very tasty if you poach a peeled and diced apple together with the onion, then it will be in the same sauce as the onion. ”honey and apple sauce”
